Lawrence could still leave Potters

Liam Lawrence has revealed he could still leave Stoke before the start of the season. Reports suggested Lawrence was set for a move to Wolves earlier this summer and last week Potters boss Tony Pulis denied he was lining the midfielder up for an exchange deal involving Middlesbrough's Gary O'Neil. Celtic have also been heavily linked with Lawrence and the 28-year-old has indicated a deal could yet be on the cards. "My agent has had another couple of calls and so it is still going on," Lawrence told the Stoke Sentinel. "Something could be happening in the next couple of weeks." Lawrence has already spoken of his desire to join Celtic but the Republic of Ireland international insists that if a transfer does not materialise he will remain committed to the Stoke cause. "If nothing happens, I'm still giving my all for this club. I think the supporters know that," he said. "I've just said in the past that if something comes up and it's good for Stoke and good for me, then it might be time to move. But if I'm still here at Stoke for the next season, or the next two, or the next three, then I'll be happy - and I still believe I can play at this level."
