Jerome chasing 10-goal target

Stoke's Cameron Jerome is confident he can replicate his goalscoring form that saw him notch double figures for Birmingham City two season ago.[LNB] The 24-year-old striker helped Alex McLeish's side to a ninth place finish after scoring 10 goals in 32 games for the Blues but struggled in his role as a lone striker, collecting just five goals last season.[LNB]Jerome put in a lively performance on Sunday making only his second appearance for Tony Pulis' side as they lost 2-0 to newly-promoted Swansea City. [LNB]The £4million man moved to Britannia Stadium on deadline day, scoring on his debut in Stoke's 1-1 draw with Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League three weeks ago.[LNB]The striker faces stiff competition after the international break from the likes of Peter Crouch and Jon Walters with former record signing Kenwyne Jones and Ricardo Fuller yet to return.[LNB]Jerome claims 10 goals is a realistic target, believing Stoke receive negative press, often noted for their brawn and less for their attacking flare. [LNB]"With the people we have here supplying ammunition from the wings, I think double-figures is definitely achievable for all of the strikers at the club," he told Staffordshire newspaper, The Sentinel.[LNB]"With the strikers we have here, I think everyone would be disappointed if at least a couple of us didn't hit double figures.[LNB]"People label Stoke as long-ball merchants, but I think there is so much more to us than that.[LNB]"Since I have been here I have been genuinely surprised by the quality of the players we have."
