Hornets keen on Cresswell

Skysports.com understands that Watford have expressed an interest in Stoke striker Richard Cresswell. The 31-year-old's future has been cast into doubt following the Potters' signing of Turkish ace Tuncay Sanli. With Stoke already well-stocked in the attacking department, departures now appear to be inevitable. Much-travelled Cresswell could, therefore, find himself on the move once more. He did feature on a regular basis under Tony Pulis last season, as Stoke made an impressive start to life in the Premier League, but he was often asked to play out of position in a wider role. It remains to be seen whether he would be willing to take the step down into the Championship to join Watford. The Hornets are in the market for a new forward after selling Tommy Smith to Portsmouth.
