Ian Holloway has laughed off speculation linking him with a move for Stoke's James Beattie after joking Blackpool could not afford his toenail.[LNB] Beattie has fallen down the pecking order at the Britannia Stadium following a bust-up with Potters boss Tony Pulis over the club's Christmas party.[LNB]Blackpool have been linked with a move for the 32-year-old since their promotion to the Premier League but Holloway has poured cold water on those reports.[LNB]"Goodness gracious me, that would be nice, wouldn't it?" he told the Blackpool Gazette when asked about the speculation.[LNB]"But unfortunately I can't afford his left little toenail and I wouldn't insult Stoke by even going to them.[LNB]"You are talking about a bloke who has been in the top flight for however many years, a top goalscorer.[LNB]"Stoke paid £3m for him. He kept them up the other January, and he still has God knows how many years left on his contract. [LNB]"So why on earth are we being linked with someone like that? This is absolute nonsense."
