Higgy closing on Stoke return

Stoke defender Danny Higginbotham has returned to full training after six months on the sidelines with a cruciate knee ligament injury.[LNB] Higginbotham, 32, ruptured cruciate knee ligaments against Chelsea in April but was included by Tony Pulis in Stoke's 25-man Premier League squad and is now closing on a return to first-team action.[LNB]Ricardo Fuller is also edging closer towards a return after he ruptured his Achilles tendon in April.[LNB]"Ric is doing really well, but is perhaps a couple of weeks behind Danny," Pulis told the Stoke Sentinel.[LNB]"But Danny is back in full training and that has given everyone here a massive boost.[LNB]"Having let Danny Pugh and Danny Collins go on loan, we have put our faith in Danny to be part of the squad.[LNB]"He has been a great player for this football club and we are really pleased to get him back."
