Danny Higginbotham is hoping Stoke City can call on their experience as they look to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Potters currently lie in the demotion places on goal difference after they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Everton last weekend. But former Manchester United defender Higginbotham is optimistic Tony Pulis' men have what it takes to survive. He told The Sentinel: "It [experience] is a big advantage and there are a lot of players in our dressing room that have a lot of experience in this. "Hopefully we know what it takes to survive. "We have given ourselves a great chance. Most people wouldn't have expected us to be in the position we are. Most people would have said we'd be cast adrift... on about three points judging by the way they were talking. "But we have given ourselves a great chance, so it is important we really do kick on and, come the end of the season, are safe."
