Stoke defender Andy Griffin insists he wants to fight for his place at the Britannia Stadium.
Griffin, who scored the winning goal against Blackpool in the Carling Cup in midweek, has fallen down the pecking order since a bust-up with team-mate Ricardo Fuller last season.
The 30-year-old has not started in the Premier League since the spat, but Griffin insists he has no plans to leave the club
"I still believe I've got something to offer," Griffin told Radio Stoke.
"I'm willing to fight for my place, I don't want to leave. I have to show the right attitude and when given the opportunity do my best.
"I like to think I've been patient and I have to prove to the manager I have the hunger and desire."
