Fuller sees red in friendly draw

Stoke City could only muster a 0-0 draw away at Wrexham on Friday night, in a game which saw Ricardo Fuller sent off.[LNB] Despite the contest being a pre-season friendly, tempers threatened to boil over from the off as no quarter was given by either team.[LNB]The match officials were also in no mood to take things easy and leapt upon any misdemeanor.[LNB]Unfortunately for the Potters, it was they who fell foul of the referee in the game's major flashpoint.[LNB]Jamaican striker Fuller was alleged to have raised his hands to Wrexham left-back Neil Ashton and he was sent for an early bath.[LNB]Stoke battled on bravely with 10-men for the remainder of the game and will argue that they had the better opportunities to claim a win.[LNB]Turkish hit-man Tuncay Sanli looked the most likely to force a breakthrough during a hard-fought encounter, but he was unable to convert any of the chances which came his way.[LNB]While the result was disappointing for Tony Pulis' side, as they ready themselves for the 2010/11 Premier League campaign, they will take heart from the fact that tricky winger Matthew Etherington returned to the fold and put in a lively display.
