Stoke defender Abdoulaye Faye has spoken of his pride at being named players' player of the year. Faye has missed just one league game since arriving from Newcastle for £2.25 million last August and captained the team for the last five months in the absence of Andy Griffin. Faye said: "I'm very proud for the team, for the supporters, for my family and for everyone at Stoke."
