Eve among new Academy hopefuls

Stoke have high hopes for teenage Bermudian goalkeeper Dale Eve, who has signed a two-year deal as part of the new Academy intake.[LNB] Eve has moved to the Potters from Dandy Town Hornets in his homeland and is being tipped for a bright future.[LNB]The 16-year-old was spotted by Stoke scouts while turning out for a Derby youth team last season.[LNB]Now the 6ft 4in stopper, who was also being tracked by Manchester City, has been given a chance to make his mark in a bid to win a professional contract at the Britannia Stadium.[LNB]"We are confident that we have a much stronger squad this year, and that is due to the quality of the players we have been able to attract here," Potters Academy coach Dave Wright told the club's official website.
