Etherington set for fitness test

Stoke boss Tony Pulis will give a late fitness test to midfielder Matthew Etherington ahead of his side's match with Fulham at the Britannia Stadium. Etherington limped off late in the Boxing Day win at Blackburn with an apparent ankle knock and his replacement at Ewood Park, Greg Whelan, stands by to step in. Pulis does not expect any further injury problems and his biggest concern is whether to bring back fit-again goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen in place of Asmir Begovic.
