Crouch joins up with City revolution Stoke have smashed their transfer record with the £10m signing of England forward Peter Crouch. Former Liverpool, Portsmouth and Aston Villa striker Crouch signs from Tottenham in a deal that breaks the Potters former transfer record which was for Kenwyne Jones, 12 mnths ago, and Wilson Palacios, an hour ago. Crouch, 30, will add experience and firepower to a Potters frontline that has so far this season seen defender Ryan Shotton shoved up front when needed to cover the Potters only two fit strikers Kenwyne Jones and Jon Walters. Pulis has now spent £22m in the final hour of the transfer window on Cameron Jerome and Tottenham pair Wilson Palacios and Crouch as he looked to bulk his squad out with the Potters set for the extra pressure of the Europa League.
