3 years ago today: Stoke in talks with Valencia striker
The club have today confirmed that Nikola Zigic, Valencia's Serbian striker is one of a number of players they are looking at in an effort to strenghten their squad before next weeks opener against Bolton. The 6'8" giant is thought to have a price tag of around £7m pounds and any succesful approach would see the potters shatter their transfer record for the second time this summer after spending £5.5m on Reading striker Dave Kitson.The club are also seeking players in other areas of the pitch, with a left winger, full backs and centre half cover seeming to be the priority.
