Stockport County boss Jim Gannon was a relieved man after seeing his side record their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory at home to Bristol Rovers.
A double from loan striker Glenn Murray was enough to see off the Pirates and lift Gannon's side away from the foot of the table.
He said after the game: "The first five games of the season are gone now, but I always said that we deserved more than just the two points.
"All of the team were strong and the substitutes came on and simply finished the job off for us.
"Credit to Bristol Rovers, they came on to us at times and it was inevitable that we would concede chances, but my players have worked hard and deserved their win."
