Ward on good terms with County

Former Stockport County assistant boss John Ward has denied leaving Edgeley Park on bad terms, insisting he departed the club with a heavy heart.
Ward left the club last week to take up an offer of becoming Adrian Boothroyd's assistant at Colchester and rumours gathered that he had not been paid by the cash-strapped Hatters.
"I got paid when they told me I would get paid and my leaving was nothing to do with County," he told Stockport's official website.
"It took me two or three days to make my final decision because of the way I was treated with respect by everyone at Stockport County."
