Ward: I left County on good terms

Ward last week quit Edgeley Park after accepting Adrian Boothroyd's offer to join him at Colchester, but he insists it was not a decision he took lightly and denied rumours he had not been paid by the cash-strapped club. "I got paid when they told me I would get paid and my leaving was nothing to do with County," he told the Hatters' official website. "It took me two or three days to make my final decision because of the way I was treated with respect by everyone at Stockport County."
