Tunnicliffe pens Hatters deal

Promising Stockport County defender James Tunnicliffe has signed a new one-year contract extension with the League Two club.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs since breaking into the first-team set-up at Edgeley Park, although he has only made six starts for the Hatters to date.

He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to sign a new deal now, because everything is going well at the club and I honestly feel we can push on to promotion.

"Personally I'm developing well at the minute and if I can get a few games, then hopefully I can push on from there."
