Smart cars to beat crossing crime

Smart cars fitted with video cameras are to help catch drivers failing to stop at school crossing patrols in Greater Manchester.Rochdale Council said there has been a rise in the number of complaints from patrol staff, who say children's lives are being put at risk. The smart cars will be parked near school crossings to gather video evidence of offending drivers. If caught, drivers could face a £1,000 fine and points on their licence.
