Simpson ponders change
Stockport manager Paul Simpson praised his side's second-half display, but was critical of the referee's performance in the 2-2 home draw with Aldershot.A sensational double strike by midfielder Paul Turnbull gave Stockport a point after goals from Marvin Morgan and Anthony Straker put the Shots two-nil up at half-time.Simpson said: "We had to change something; we had to have a change of character and a change of attitude. And the players have turned it round - it's all down to them."In the second half we showed a more determined attitude, a more positive attitude. I don't like talking about referees, but the first goal, their midfield lad has swung an arm out and it's actually a free kick for us. We could have lost the game because of that."I think that throughout the game he's been really poor and a lot of the decision's he's made have been wrong and, unfortunately, we're having to talk about it."The system we've been playing, when it works it's very positive and we had some good chances in the first half, but maybe we'll have to look at it again to see if we can't go for it more often."
