Silkmen sure pitch will be ready

Drainage problems at Edgeley Park have led to the tie being postponed twice, while the club's League One game against Swindon last Tuesday was also called off because the pitch was unplayable. The clash against Torquay will now take place at Macclesfield on Tuesday December 15 while Stockport's pitch is relaid. Silkmen chairman Mike Rance said: "We're happy to help out in this way. "Moss Rose has come through the recent period of poor weather quite well. "We've been able to move a NW Youth Alliance game against Wigan Athletic scheduled that day to Knutsford Town so we expect the pitch to be in good condition for the tie."
