Revamp funding for three stations

Transport chiefs said Manchester Victoria station could be "the jewel in the city's crown" after it was chosen to benefit from part of £50m funding.The station was highlighted as the worst of 10 across the UK needing investment to carry out urgent repairs. Councillor Keith Whitmore said the city centre station had lacked funding for years. Wigan North Western and Stockport will also receive funding.
