Owen praise for Dickinson

Stockport County striker Liam Dickinson has won praise from team-mate Gareth Owen for his excellent start to the new season.

The 21-year-old has scored twice in three games and Owen is delighted to see Dickinson hit top form straight away.

He told the Stockport Express: "Liam's like a new man at the moment, he proves the point that a goal gives you confidence.

"Since scoring against Dagenham on the opening day he's been a different man in training.

"He's looked bright and sharp and to be fair to the gaffer, he has said we're going to need people coming off the bench and making an impact.

"Liam did that again on Saturday and I can't fault him. He's been fantastic these last couple of weeks."
