Mawhinney issues Hatters warning

League One's bottom club have been in administration since April 2009 and look almost certain to be relegated. League rules state that clubs cannot start two successive seasons in administration as the ongoing attempts by the Melrose consortium rumbles on. Lord Mawhinney said: "The League's policy is clear, we don't permit clubs to start two successive seasons in administration. "If I was a Stockport fan, there would have been an element of concern for some time."
