Man Utd stewards appear in court

Two Manchester United football stewards accused of breaking the legs of a Manchester City fan during a derby match have appeared in court.The fan was caught smoking in Old Trafford at the game on 20 September, Trafford magistrates heard. He was allegedly pushed down a flight of stairs while being ejected. Mark Roberts, 46, of George Street, Oldham, and Paul Stringer, 45, of Grange Way, Runcorn, are charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
