Maguire quits role at Edgeley Park

Maguire has held the post since 2007 and helped to oversee the club's promotion from League Two last season. However, financial difficulties this season has led to the recent departure of Jason Taylor, Gareth Owen, Jim McNulty and Anthony Pilkington. A club statement said: "Mark Maguire, has tendered his resignation and he will leave the post he has held since 2007 with immediate effect. "The club's board of directors and the current staff will continue day-to-day duties until a permanent successor has been identified. "Stockport County would like to thank Mark for all his hard work and wish him all the best in the future."
