Le Fondre leaves on loan

Stockport County striker Adam Le Fondre has joined Rochdale on a month-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old has failed to start for the Hatters since mid-November and is looking forward to a new challenge.

"I'm delighted to be here," he said. "The prospect of playing first-team football is what I'm after and I'm delighted the gaffer and Rochdale have given me this chance.

"It's now up to me to prove I'm worthy of getting into the starting eleven by scoring some goals and I can't wait for next Saturday's home game to come around."

Le Fondre has scored 19 goals in 30 starts and 37 appearances from the bench for County. He has found the net six times this term, with four coming in the 5-2 victory against Wrexham in September.
