Kane heads for Hatters

Stockport County have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Tony Kane on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old Northern Ireland youth international has yet to break into the first-team picture at Ewood Park and is likely to make his senior debut whilst with the Hatters.

County boss Jim Gannon said of the right-back: "We've been looking at him for a long time and we were hoping to bring him to the club earlier this season, but he got injured.

"He's back playing now and we're happy to give him the opportunity to impress."
