Stockport County manager Jim Gannon was relieved to come through the pre-season friendly against Worcester City with no injuries.

The match ended 1-1, but Gannon was unimpressed by the physical nature of County's opponents.

"I don't really like calling these games friendlies because some of them get a bit naughty. They are more like challenge matches," he told the club's official website.

"We got through the game, though, and nobody's injured.

"It was a tough game for the boys because they put a lot of balls on top of us and we were stretched, but that's what you're going to get in our division."
