Hatters star on road to recovery

Thompson sustained the problem in January and was rushed into hospital, where he spent several weeks. The Hatters are keen for the 24-year-old Northern Ireland international to make a comeback before the end of the season, but Thompson is taking things slowly. "We'll see how things go, I'm not going to get ahead of myself," he told the Manchester Evening News. "The aim is get myself fit before the end of the season and stay that way. "I'll look towards next season but if I get back before the end of this season that's even better."
