Hatters nab Rovers loanee

Stockport County have bolstered their promotion-chasing squad with the loan signing of teenage Blackburn Rovers defender Eddie Nolan.

The 18-year-old has made just one first-team appearance for Rovers to date, earlier this season in the 1-0 UEFA Cup victory over French side Nancy.

Hatters boss Jim Gannon told the club's official website: "Eddie is a versatile defender who can play at full-back or down the middle.

"We have an excellent relationship with Blackburn Rovers and I'd like to thank them for allowing Eddie to join us."
