Hatters keen to strengthen

Stockport County manager Jim Gannon has admitted he is desperate to bolster his threadbare squad with loan signings.

The Hatters are struggling for numbers in both attack and defence following injuries to Liam Dickinson, Adam Le Fondre, Adam Proudlock, Gareth Owen and Michael Raynes in recent weeks.

"We're considering anything," admitted Gannon. "With Liam being out and Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) and Adam (Proudlock) still working their way back to fitness, it's important that we have plenty of cover up front.

"We're also conscious that we need cover at the back because Gaz Owen and Michael Raynes are still a good few weeks away from being involved.

"So if we get a chance we'll be looking to strengthen in those two areas."
