Hatters hoping for FA Cup boost

Published: 07 Dec 2009 - 14:12:07

Striker Oli Johnson remains sidelined with a knee injury which has kept him out of County's last three games. On-loan Reading striker Nicholas Bignall lasted 82 minutes in the 2-1 defeat at Wycombe on Saturday following his recovery from a hamstring problem and should retain his place. Midfielder Matty Mainwaring is a long-term absentee with a double fracture of his leg. The Hatters have now lost seven games in a row and Ablett has warned his players to improve or face the humiliation of relegation come May, saying: "We'll keep going but you get nothing for being at the bottom." There is still a question mark as to whether the game will go ahead after County confirmed they are to hold a pitch inspection at 10am on Tuesday morning.
