Hatters duo miss Torquay cup clash

Published: 14 Dec 2009 - 17:49:36

Leading goalscorer Baker was shown a straight red card at the end of Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Charlton for allegedly head-butting Nicky Bailey and will sit out the next three matches. Rose, who has been struggling with injury in recent weeks, missed the Charlton match and will undergo surgery on Tuesday to resolve a hernia problem. He is expected to be sidelined for six weeks. County manager Gary Ablett will be able to call on defender Johnny Mullins, who missed out on Saturday due to a one-game ban. Ablett has no new injury worries but Oli Johnson (knee) and Matty Mainwaring (broken leg) remain long-term absentees. County's second-round replay with Torquay has been postponed twice due to a waterlogged pitch, so Tuesday's game will take place at Macclesfield's Moss Rose ground.
