Hatters boss left frustrated again

Published: 13 Dec 2009 - 11:07:48

Sam Sodje and Scott Wagstaff saw the Addicks into a 2-0 lead, before an own goal from goalkeeper Rob Elliot gave Stockport hope, although they did see leading scorer Carl Baker sent off in the dying seconds following a late melee. Ablett said: "I do seem to say this every weekend, but I can't criticise the players. "Charlton's second goal was a quality strike, but apart from that I didn't think there was much between the two sides. "It's just not happening for us, but the players keep showing pride in their shirts and pride in themselves." Asked about Baker's sending-off, Ablett added: "The referee lost control of that situation. Carl Baker is a player we just can't afford to lose at this stage of the season."
