Jamie Vincent, Chris O'Grady and a brace from Oli Johnson guided the Hatters to all three points in Friday's League One clash, while Billy Jones, Dennis Lawrence and Scott McManus were on target for Crewe. "That was a really exciting game," enthused Ward. "We produced some excellent technical ability and our goals were excellent too. "Crewe had a real go at us, they needed to win desperately but in the end it turned out to be a great game for any neutrals who might have been watching. "I was pretty relaxed going into the game. We had had a good week in training and I was looking forward to seeing the lads playing. "We played some nice stuff, both teams hit the woodwork and both keepers made some fantastic saves."
