Gleeson set for County move

Wolves midfielder Stephen Gleeson is on the verge of sealing a permanent switch to Stockport County.

The Dublin-born teenager has enjoyed two loan spells with the Hatters in the last two seasons scoring three times in 26 appearances for Jim Gannon's side.

Gleeson has started only one first-team match for Wolves, but featured in four games for Hereford United during a loan spell at Edgar Street last term.

County's assistant manager Peter Ward told the Stockport Express: "Everything's been agreed between the two clubs and we're delighted that he'll be coming here."
