Gleeson goes to County

Stockport County have landed a second loan signing in as many days after capturing Stephen Gleeson from Wolves.

Hard on the heels of moving for Tony Kane of Blackburn Rovers, the midfielder has arrived at Edgeley Park in a bid to play some first-team football.

Gleeson has agreed a one-month loan and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's clash with top of the table Lincoln City.

Wolves' reserve team coach Terry Connor told the club's official website: "Stephen has been involved in the friendly games we've been playing and this is the next logical step of his development.

"We've stressed to him that this is an opportunity to go and get some experience of the Football League.

"But he's a Wolves player and we want him to come back and make a difference."
