Gannon rues Hatters loss

Stockport County boss Jim Gannon was disappointed after seeing his side's record-breaking run of victories ended by a 3-1 reverse at Barnet.

The Hatters had previously won nine league games in a row without conceding a goal, but went down at Underhill after hitting the front through Tes Bramble.

Gannon said: "We battered them in the first half and it should have been all over, but they came back in the second half.

"We should have gone in at the break with the game over.

"It's always disappointing when a run comes to an end, but the players have to learn from this and it's my job to pick them up.

"Barnet were very professional and they were into gamesmanship by slowing things down. The referee didn't help us."
