Stockport County boss Jim Gannon thought some of his players produced below-par displays in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Bury.

The Shakers progressed to the next round of the competition courtesy of Andy Bishop's late goal but it was not a performance that will live long in Gannon's memory.

"I was really impressed with some performances, but some were also very poor," he lamented after the 1-0 defeat.

"We didn't show enough quality in the final third. I expected a bit more from some of our players."
