Gannon ready for Latics battle

County beat the Latics 3-1 at Edgeley Park in November and will head to Boundary Park in search of a league double. John Sheridan's men will also be desperate to erase the pain of last weekend's 5-0 thumping at struggling Hereford. Gannon told the Stockport Express: "It's going to be a fantastic occasion and there will be a little more spice to the game following the weekend's results. "Our fans have got great confidence in us again but, while Oldham did have a disappointing result at Hereford, they are an excellent side at home. "We're an excellent side away from home, though, so with two sets of very passionate fans roaring the teams on, it's got all the makings of a cracking local derby."
