Gannon hails hard-pushed Hatters

Published: 12 Mar 2009 - 12:52:25

Cash-strapped County are in the midst of a hectic schedule and will play their ninth game in 28 days when Leyton Orient visit Edgeley Park this weekend. Gannon admits his young side are beginning to feel jaded but he says they will emerge as strong and better players for the experience. Stockport are only two points outside of the League One play-off zone and Gannon said: "It has been a tall order for the lads when you consider we've had to travel to the likes of Carlisle, Colchester and Leicester in midweek, and then Scunthorpe last weekend. "Game after game is always tough, but when we come out at the end of this tough period, all the lads will be better players for it. "They'll have that experience and that knowledge that can help with your play when you are tired and fatigued. This period will be a great experience for them."
