Gannon exits crisis-torn County

Reports suggest that crisis club Stockport County have sacked manager Jim Gannon and his assistant Peter Ward.
The Hatters moved into administration last week and are currently attempting to cut costs.
Forty-year-old Gannon took charge at Edgeley Park in December 2005, guiding the club to promotion from League Two via the play-offs at the end of the 2007-08 campaign.
In February, Gannon seemed to be on the verge of joining Brighton but, after holding talks with the Seagulls, opted to remain with County.
