Foot injury sidelines Mullins

Stockport County defender Johnny Mullins will miss the closing weeks of the season due to a foot injury.

The 23-year-old suffered a broken metatarsal in his left foot during the goalless draw with Yeovil Town and an MRI scan has revealed season-ending damage.

He told the club's official website: "Someone stamped on my foot after about ten minutes and then when I cleared a ball later on, my foot just crumbled.

"There's no way I could have carried on and I'd like to thank the fans for the reception they gave me when I came off.

"I just want to play football and I'm gutted that I'm going to miss the rest of the season, but that's football.

"Injuries are part and parcel of the game and I've just got to take my medicine and get on with it."
