Dinning makes Hatters exit

Player-coach Tony Dinning has left Stockport County by mutual consent.

The 32-year-old midfielder has fallen behind the likes of Greg Tansey, Jason Taylor, Dominic Blizzard and Gary Dicker in the pecking order this season and has now left Edgeley Park.

Dinning made over 250 appearances during two spells with the Hatters.

"I am very sad to leave County as I have enjoyed my association with them," he said.

"However, I need to be playing and now hope to get a chance of first-team football elsewhere.

"I wish County all the best for the season and thank the fans for their support."
