Davies recalled from loan

Stockport County have lost Craig Davies after the on-loan striker was recalled by League One rivals Oldham Athletic.

Davies was the club's joint-top scorer with five goals, the same number as midfielder Tommy Rowe and two more than fellow striker Peter Thompson.

The chance of Davies returning to Edgeley Park are slim, although Oldham boss John Sheridan has admitted that both sides have benefited from his move.

"He is in good form at the moment and his loan spell has worked out well for both parties," he said.

"That's what loan deals are all about - getting players fit and bringing them back into form."
