County sweat over Mullins

Stockport County fear that defender Johnny Mullins could miss the rest of the season with a suspected broken metatarsal.

Mullins, 23, was injured in training last week and Hatters boss Jim Gannon is anxiously awaiting the results of a scan.

"There's a major concern over Johnny. We think he might have suffered a fracture of the fourth metatarsal bone in his foot," he told the club's official website.

"We're waiting for confirmation, but if that is the case Johnny will be out for the rest of the season unfortunately.

"It's a real shame because he picked up the injury following an innocuous challenge during training last Friday."
