Stockport County have released youngster Gianluca Havern.

Havern had risen through the youth team ranks at Edgely Park but made just one first-team appearance. He figured in the Hatters' last game of the 2007-08 season, scoring the only goal of the game.

The 20-year-old captained Stockport's youth team to a Football League Youth Cup success in 2007, but failed to make the step up this year.

Havern could now sign for Blue Square Premier League side Mansfield Town, who have offered the player a week-long trial.

Also leaving the club is goalkeeping coach Dave Felgate, who has landed a job with Premier League side Manchester City.

Felgate was instrumental in the development of goalkeepers Wayne Hennessy and Owain Fon Williams and takes up a full-time role with City's academy.
