County move for Owen

Stockport County have landed Gareth Owen from Oldham Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Edgeley Park where he made 42 appearances for the Hatters and was named the club's player of the year.

Owen began his career with Stoke City before moving on to Oldham two years ago.

The Staffordshire-born defender has agreed a two-year contract with Stockport.
