County hopeful over duo

Stockport County boss Jim Gannon is hopeful that Liam Dickinson and Jason Taylor will be fit for the play-offs despite both players picking up injuries in Tuesday's goalless draw with Chester City.

Forward Dickinson and midfielder Taylor both limped out of the action before half time at the Deva Stadium, but Gannon believes the injuries are only minor knocks.

"Liam felt an innocuous little twinge in his hamstring, so hopefully it's just a minor thing and he'll be back in a couple of weeks," he told the club's official website.

"Jason Taylor felt his foot. It doesn't seem serious but if it's any kind of bone damage he'll be for a while. Hopefully it's just soft tissue."

On the performance, he added: "The lads did enough to win the game, so credit to them.

"We went for a win tonight and were very unfortunate to be denied it."
