County abandon ticket price cuts

The Hatters are saddled with debts of £500,000 and with deadlines looming to arrive at a credible payment arrangement with HM Revenue & Customs, County could be forced into administration. They have now pulled the plug on their proposed ticket offer and a club statement said: "Stockport County must advise fans to ignore publicity promoting a cut-price ticket for our final three home games this season. "The offer, which has its origin in a sincere attempt to help the club in its current difficulty, was discussed by the board who, for very clear cost and operational reasons, decided not to proceed with it at this point."
